Yesterday morning, Mr. and I woke up and our power was out. again. For those of you who don't know, a snow storm came through Kentucky last week. I know! It was like we were living in the frozen tundra or something. Luckily, we have wonderful friends that let us stay in their guest room for a WEEK! When our power finally came on, we immediately cranked the heat up full blast, threw out all of our questionable fridge items, ransacked the grocery for essentials (like, carb control chocolate ice cream, skim milk, blueberries...) and settled back into our cozy little house! I did NOT expect for it to be out two days later! Right when I thought I may lose my mind, Mr. suggested we have brunch at my favorite little spot! The perfect remedy. Considering that this particular brunch includes: cheese grits, biscuits and gravy, breakfast casserole and bourbon brownies...i knew there would be a catch. Particularly since Mr. is a bonafide health nut. It was a fair trade. I happily gobbled up the best brunch around, knowing that we'd spend at least an hour at the gym trying to burn off some of those yummy calories!
...and I smiled every one of the 60 minutes I spent on that elliptical!
