Partly Cloudy Tuesday...

My Tuesday started out with such bright hopes!

Grr...I don't know why it happened, but my sunny outlook was severely tested later in the day!

To cut to the chase, I gained a random 3 pounds (which thankfully disappeared this morning), got a parking ticket (which I deserved), and my iPhone screen is shattered.

I even have a not-so-cute cover on it because I thought it was more hard-core than the cute covers out there!  It's plain black, thick, rubber.  Ew!  And it didn't help one stinkin bit.

I had just left an intramural basketball game that some girls from school were playing in. (They lost by 1 point, which adds a little to the frustration of the afternoon.)  One of my very best friends and bridesmaids played her little heart out, and we were saying bye.  I swear, I've dropped my phone several times.  And, several of those times I thought it may not make it.  However, this time it just slipped lightly out of my hand about 3ft from the ground and landed in some dirt along the sidewalk.  There were a couple little stones in the dirt, and I guess one of them hit the screen just right!  I could've cried!

I called Apple, and they said..."No, we don't fix shattered screens, and NO your warranty doesn't cover it.  But if you come to our "Genius Bar," they will replace it for a fee."

So, of course, I ask, "Well, what's the fee?"

She answers (in peppy voice), "Only $199."

UH...isn't that how much it costs in the first place???

She said that if I try to buy a replacement now it will cost $400.

Seriously?!  And, just when Mr & I are doing pretty good trying to budget and everything.  An extra $199??

Well, it may actually end up being an extra $250 or $275 beca

use the next cover I'm investing in is going to be one of those ones that completely wrap around it!  Definitely.

The thought of my new iPhone snug in a cute little FULL-coverage case does make me smile a little bit!  The part that I feel worst about is just that I couldn't just move on.  I tried, but I was just in one of those moods yesterday...and I wasn't necessarily the sweetest to Mr.  :(  He's so wonderful and he never skipped a beat.  He hugged me and made me laugh, and I was just plain grumpy.  We have started praying together recently (Southern Housewife, you really encouraged me with this!), and it is wonderful! I felt a lot better snuggling up to him, and praying with him after everything...I just still wish I wouldn't have let the days little things bother me!  And after I was so optimistic!

But...today is a new day, right?  Here's to a wonderful Wednesday!
