Our “Mini-Moon”

Like I said, Mr and I dashed off to New York City for a short honeymoon after our wedding. It was absolutely wonderful! We stayed at the St. Regis Hotel and were downright spoiled! We didn’t know what to do with a butler at our beck and call.st regis2st regis It was so luxurious, and perfectly located smack dab in the middle of Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue (where we shopped right next to Glenn Close & her two puppies! Yes, we casually stalked shopped in her vicinity for a few extended minutes.), Rockefeller Center, Tiffany’s, and Central Park.

A couple of our friends sent us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne as a decadent surprise! Mr & I giggled like 4th graders as the butler popped our champagne and poured us a glass to taste.stregis In the morning, they brought us the best coffee ever. Truly, we’re not sure that we’ll ever have coffee that delicious!stregiscoffee{I loved their china, our feet love their comfy slippers, and we both loved their coffee}

But, we didn’t stay in our slippers for long…we hit the town!stregismr {Here’s Mr checking his iPhone for directions! Note, we are geared up for the weather! haha…we lived in our fleeces & hats.}

Of course we headed to Rockefeller Center to see the tree.

Ate at Tavern on the Green. Their crab soup was ridiculous, not to mention the filet. Mmmm!tavernonthegreen tavernonthegreenmr

It was still all decorated for the holidays, which was wonderful! I don’t have the picture with me, so I can’t share it with you all—but they had a little photographer guy who took our picture and put it in a cute folder/book thingy! It’s such a cute keepsake.

To switch things up, we also stayed at the W in Times Square. We were certainly in the middle of all the hustle and bustle!stregistimessquare I even managed to have a real New York Hot Dog from a stand in Battery Park!newyorkhotdog One of my favorite things was just wandering around Central Park. I got to see the Plaza Hotel, and imagine Eloise hopping around causing mischief…the ice skaters, and spots that we decided were “definitely on Home Alone 2!”newyorkplazanewyorkcentralparkAnyway, it was just amazing…and looking up all these pictures just makes me even more excited for our trip to the Caribbean! Hope you enjoyed the pictures from our “mini-moon!”

You have just reaffirmed the fact that my husband and I need to do this for our 10 year anniversary (next December). We were debating between NYC and Boston.. i completely forgot about the tree!! Gotta go!

BTW.. found your site because your sweet mom came by mine and commented!
