Remember this post? Well, we took the plunge! We've gone organic! Not 100%...we're taking baby steps. It'd be hard to only eat organic, but we're only keeping organic foods in the house. If we're going out to eat with friends or anything like that, all bets are off! ;)
I know a lot of it is just the mindset, but I already feel "healthier." Also, I feel like everything just tastes better. I'm not sure if it's because I've eaten "diet" foods for so long...low-carb, low-fat, low-cal...but everything is plain delicious! Seriously, Whole Foods Multigrain Bread is ridiculously wonderful! It's dark, and hearty, and still only 60 calories a slice! I've been eating that 35 calorie bread for years, and it feels downright scandalous to up the ante a whole 25 cals! haha!

Besides the whole organic business, some other changes have been happening in the Luckiest household. It's a new fresh start!
Before...An occasional Flinstone's chewable
After...7 (count 'em) SEVEN vitamin supplements every morning!

Before...working out=zoning out on the elliptical with a magazine
After...working out=having fun with Mr

Before...dinner=the fastest thing we could throw together

Before...trying to squeeze in a Bible verse and prayer together before bedtime
After...just joined a Married couples' Bible study at church
I'm not sure what jump-started all these "healthy" choices, but I'm excited about everything! All I know is that I want to be like this couple 60 years from now!

*****update*****
All of those previously mentioned healthy choices did not stop me from this harrowing discovery.
My first official GREY HAIR.
I'm not sure why I'm sharing this with the world...but I feel better putting it out there.
I mean, I want to be that cute, elderly, dancing couple someday. I don't want to be that cute, elderly dancing lady today. yikes!

What a cute blog! I love all of your little changes!
Sound like great changes!
aww what great changes in your life :) and i totally feel you on the gray hair - i pulled my first one out about a month ago. i'm hoping the rest stay in hiding!!
I awarded you as a QUEEN at my blog because you are an awesome daily read & an AWESOME Mrs.
Yank that hair! Demi gloss is on my list of things to research as I yanked # 1-5 in the past few months!! Today's crown strategically covers that hair BTW.
Great choice to switch to organic. I may be joining you on that path.
And what ever you do don't pluck that gray- I swear it makes them multiply. Go for color instead.
What a fabulous post! I love all your before and afters - sounds like alot of fun :).
Grays happen to us all...my mom always dyed her hair, so I never knew just when she turned gray, but I'm not yet 30 and certainly have more than my fair share.
Going organic is fabulous! Good for you!
As for the gray hair, I got my first one at 23...it was all downhill from there! I have 5 sisters and I am the YOUNGEST...none of them were as gray as me by the time they hit the bit 4-0...life is just not fair sometimes! Lol!
Hugs and best wishes for a great week!
Oh no - a gray hair!! It's okay, I found my first one when I was 22 I think...crazy! And good for you on your transition to organic :) xoxo
Good for y'all.....seriously, those are wonderful changes. Can you implement them at our house too? Puh-leaaaassseeeee? ;-)
I really want to start working out and making it a priority to get 8 hours of sleep a night. I think I'd be a better person all around with more exercise and sleep!
great before and afters!! .....and the grey hair is great as well :-)
