Easter Picnic

This year was our first year "on our own" for Easter! As you all know, my parents are in Savannah, so we usually spend Easter at Mr's parents' place. Well, this year they were visiting family in Florida...so we had to take plans into our own hands! Since I still don't feel grown up enough to be in charge of a full out Easter dinner, I thought it would be fun to fix a little Easter picnic for lunch!

We even brought Malone along! Come on, buddy! ;)

Chicken salad on croissants, potato salad, cole slaw, chips and guacamole...

Everybody loved the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert!

Malone was probably wondering why all those trees haven't sprouted their spring leaves yet.

Little Miss and Heartbreaker--it was SO beautiful and sunny out, it was hard to keep our eyes open for pictures!

Malone got thirsty, so Mr let him have a piece of ice. No lemonade for puppies!

We had a lot of fun, and I think it was good practice since Mr & I will be on our own for several more holidays these next few years...maybe next year I'll feel "ready" to tackle the Easter Ham! ;)

Glad you guys enjoyed a precious Easter together! I can relate, I leave all of the holiday plans up to my Mom and MIL or grandmother's. But, you did a great job of planning a great day :)
